We took Bug to Dog Day Afternoon to get a hotdog for his birthday. He enjoyed it very much. I got the Chicago dog, was pretty good-I don’t know how I feel about the tomatoes but the actual hot dog was really good. If you want a plain hotdog, order the kids one.

Pretty good dogs and sausage spot! Chicago-style dogs, really good chilli dogs, and the polish with the crunchy kielbasa and caramelized onions with a drizzle of mustard is particularly good. The italian beef, a particular favorite was out by the time we got there.

Excellent hotdog joint near Prospect park. We ordered one Chicago dog and one Chilli dog. Both were great. I have to point out that you can actually taste the meat in their sausages- it means that sausages are of high quality. Guy who prepared for us hotdogs was really friendly, helpful and whats more he gave us some chips free of charge. When you’re close by be sure to visit.

I had been dreaming about the juicy, crunchy hot dog for quite some time now and finally today, just before the looming storm decided to make a trek across the park to the Dog Day Afternoon. It turned out to be one of those make you feel good places where it feels like you’ve been visiting for ages and owner is your old buddy. I went for a Polish Chicago dog which didn’t disappoint and definitely made me want to come back to try all the other options. I only wish they had beer along their wieners. A hotdog stand whose name is based on a movie filmed in the same location? No, better, let’s just call it: A Hot Dog Time Machine. Delicious hot dogs to procure faster than traveling to Cleveland or Chicago, and jambalaya reminiscent of New Orleans, and milkshakes? What is this magical place? With LPs on sale, photos of celebrities, and a Mrs. Pac-Man arcade console- this place is a trip for your mind AND your taste buds.

I visited Dog Day Afternoon on a Tuesday around noon. I was visiting NYC & stayed in Brooklyn for my trip, so before my late night flight my group and I were checking out Prospect Park. Found this place nearby, saw it was highly rated on Google Maps, so we gave it a shot. 5/5 stars I can see why it’s so highly rated, the guy working was friendly and very helpful. It’s a small menu but he asked the right questions to make sure we got what we wanted. One dog we ordered was the vegan chili option and he ensured whether it was for a vegan or vegetarian person. The food was also delicious, hot dogs come loaded, and the flavors all worked well together. Also, reasonably priced! If I’m ever in that area again I would definitely go back. Will not disappoint!

You want the best vegan dog in brooklyn? It’s right here. The dog, the spicy peppers, the onions, the pickle, the mustard, everything is perfect. I usually see these types of places and think no way do they have a veggie option, but here we are. I’m a regular customer now. It’s the best taste, most consistent, and best priced dog out here.
